How America became the most powerful country on Earth.

Today America is the country with the largest economy in the world. America has the most powerful military and the most expensive international currency. But America was not like this from the beginning. There was a time when this country was also living in poverty and slavery. Christopher Columbus discovered America in the year 1492, but in reality America became a superpower in 1898 after the war between America and Spain.

After the discovery of America, there was a competition among European countries to capture it. In the end, like India, America too was made a slave of England. England exploited America badly. After about 250 years, America got independence from England, when George Washington became the first President of America on 4 July 1776. From here America started making itself a superpower. America continued to expand its borders till the end of the 19th century.

America fought many wars to expand its borders. In 1898, there was a war with Spain over Cuba, in which America won. After this victory, Spain handed over Puerto Rico and the Philippines, an island in the Pacific Ocean, to America. After this, America started being called a superpower country. America also played an important role in the First World War and the Second World War.

Britain, France, Russia and Germany suffered heavy losses in the Second World War. But America did not suffer as much. Germany lost badly in the war, after which it handed over all its technology and space programs to America. America used space technology well. By reaching the moon first, America proved that it is actually a superpower. United Nations was established after the Second World War. America also played an important role in the formation of the Security Council here.
